What I meant was It would have been nice to have a double def shield I know you cant have that but well, would have been nice eg: +10Al vs Fire & +5 Overall or something like that.
Yea I know the +44 while in stace is not the best but that was the only one available out of 4 auction houses I checked Yesterday, so I took it, at least I will have the +10 vs fire

Maybe this build?
@ Ractoch and other PRO Warrior's
Isn't it possible to use a W/Me build:
1: Sympathetic Visage
2: Pysical Resistance
3: Gladiator's Defence
4: Riposte
5: Deadly Riposte
6: Dolyak Signet
7: Healing Signet
8: Bonetti's Defence
* Me, instead of E, the extra armor skill, isn't an enchantmend but a stance, nice for the +45hp while in stance shield and easier when you see a DN.
* SV, for the smite's, so they cannot use smite hex or SoJ
I'm just thinking, haven't try yet. I wasted yesterday 25K, and only killed 1 aaxte, so I'm not a pro yet, spiders is easy for me, but UW..... so hard
I just do not know how to do your attributes, anyone suggestions?

OK so you threw out Watch Yourself & Armor of Earth and added in its place physical resistance & SV, where Watch Yourself gives +20 armor translates to a ~29.3% reduction in most types of damage & Armor of Earth @ 8 earth attributes gives you 43 AL, which I think is better than just plain physical resistance.
Lets say your attibutes for Inspiration Magic is 8 same as what it would be for earth in the W/E build you will only be getting and armor boost of 40AL against physical but loose 18AL against elemental. So in total you would be loosing 23AL against physical attacks and 63AL against elemental attacks
Terrorwebs, deal in fire dmg only, Coldfire Nights deal in cold dmg (both elemental attacks). So even if you have the +10 vs Fire shield or the +10 vs Cold shield you still loose the 53 AL cause you dont have armor of earth or watch yourself. Also as far as I know the Dryders and coldfires and propably some more down there does not actually use malee attacks, so how will get them bleeding if deadly riposte will not be trigered?
You can however deside not to fight these, but then you will be cutting a lot off from what the W/E build can do. It might work on the aatxes and the smites because you have riposte and deadly reposite and glads, so you might kill faster but im sure the -23Al against the aatxes will hurt
* Anyone feel free to correct me if im wrong here "

I think the attributes for the W/E is something like this:
EARTH = 8
TACTICS = 11
STRENGTH = 16
might be TACTICS = 12 & STRENGTH = 15 (that will stil give you 20 seconds of Dolyak)

Hi there again
Racthoh I have a question for you plz. I am trying the W/E build got all the gear etc.
1stly, are you using the +10AL sword on the aatxes or only on the dryders
2ndly while wanding the aatxe it takes forever for my benotis to activate is it because i have the wrong wand??
Also can you plz give me a bit more of a discription on how you tank the aatxes, I killed 2 today, the roaming ones, but that was by hiding behind the ghost so that i can back off a bit and he wont attack me anymore. So then i can healup and go in again but that takes ages lol
I am not worried about the speed that you kill them with or anything, just wanted to know a bit more about tanking them, when to use healing sig etc.
Any more help will be greatly appreciated
Thx Racthoh

The strategy for fighting the aatxe is exactly the same as the W/N build (including where to stand), except that there is a LOT more room for error. Consistantly bleeding, having the deep wound... no problem with all of that defense you're packing. Bonetti's probably won't be filled but no matter; just keep wanding until it does. Use Healing Signet so the aatxe hits you for more and fills it faster, whatever works for you. In all honesty, it might even be worth it to drop Bonetti's in this build entirely, wait for Nightfall and get a Zealous spear just to make sure you have the energy to use your energy skills.
Basically what I'm saying is Bonetti's is just there to refill your energy. You have enough AL to take their hits for 19 seconds when Gladiator's Defense isn't around to block 75% of their attacks.
I use the +10 AL sword vs the aatxe, but it doesn't really matter when you only have the sword out to use Deadly Riposte which blocks their attack anyway. The sword could have -100 AL, and it wouldn't make a difference against the aatxe. If they're hitting you when you have the sword out, you're not changing weapons fast enough (you can blame the lag every now and then ).

Ok Racthoh first of all nice build, i like the w/e more than the w/n. I think the w/n was a little bit hard to use (altough I haven't played it that much).
I used 12 strenght, 8 earth, 15 tactics. -2/-2 shield and the +10 al sword and the +5 vs ph./-1 (10%) wand.
I just came back from UW and I must say, once you get the hang of this build its not that hard. Like you said, when you have watch yourself+dolyak+armor of earth on while glads is out, this is enough AL to survive the downtime of glads. I was even able to do healing sig easily when I had these 3 on. Also I was able to survive sever atery + gash without glads. Bonnitti's only makes things easier when it's on and Bonnetti's is really only needed for nrg, especially against graspings. I always maked sure when glads was on that I was at full hp and had the 3 armor boosters on b4 it ended. when thats not, use bonnitti's direct after it and use healing sig/armor/dolyak etc. when it's going to end. just dont panic (that why i died 1st time). Also, the first few aatxes I was a bit scared to use deadly riposte (cause i needed to walk back so i stopped attacking, but then risked that the 2nd aatxe could get to me because i walked too far back). How do you stop attacking and use riposte and when?
But after the aatxes and graspings i needed to fight the terrorwebs but I died in 30 sec when facing them. Do you have any tips fighting them? I had dolyak + AoE on (no watch urself cause no adrenaline for it, i hadn't hit a single terrorweb yet) and a +10 vs fire shield. And i tried to stay out the meteor showers (although i think that the showers killed me because I wan't out quick enough with dolyak on).
I haven't fought the smitties (at least not this run, only fought em with w/me yet) but they musn't be a big problem i think. but what shield would be better for them, a +10 vs fire or a -2/-2?
And thnx again for finding this build out, a real challenge and i like that

It's just a quick press of the key to stop attacking, just make sure you press it as the wand is firing. Against the terrorwebs, I throw on AoE and strafe around them. This includes going up on the higher ground, which in turn will cause their Fireball spells to miss you. Once all three have used Meteor Shower, hide to the side of one of the ramps and heal yourself up then move into the closest Dryder and start attacking. Then tank, tank, tank and keep the health up.
The smites are indeed a breeze, I'd take them out before working on the Dryders just because they're a little tricky. Best to get your 1k out of the trip.
As far as the shield against the smites is concerned, I don't think it really matters. The W/N build calls for just Dolyak + Watch Yourself whereas the W/E calls for Armour of Earth as well. Basically, you have more than enough AL.

OK i found on a couple of runs yesterday that I get my armor of earth interupted by the aatxes so obvisouly I should try and time it so that I can cast that when either glads or bonettis are up??

I only use it when Deadly Riposte is available to ensure a 100% block, same as the W/N with Enfeeble.

Wise words
Hmm last run I did I had some troubles with a nightmare which I haven't had before. He stripped my armor of earth constantly, but it was hard to get to him cause then both aatxes started attacking me so I tried to survive without AoE but that was too much I know 1 desperation blow will kill him half way and then I just gotta start hacking into him, but how do you exactly deal with these miserable beasts? Just put glads on and hope that both aatxes miss you and hope for the best?

Against the groups of two, best thing to do is aggro them and then run back (they are very reluctant to move). This will spawn the nightmares, who will chase you back.

this works pretty good, problem solved
btw, do you take out coldfires when you go to ice wastes?
EDIT Just came back again from UW, I can take out the aatxe's pretty 'simple' now. I only get sick of the sever atery's and gashes trough glads+bonnetti's. they even manage to interrupt my AoE trough glads! guess I need to start using deadly riposte as a 100% block....
After i cleared the first 2 rooms of aatxes + graspins I went to the smites first. but DAMN they take loooooooong to go down. I have the feeling I just can't really outdamage them. took me 10 minutes to take out 1 group! Am I doing something wrong or what? (tanking them is really easy, with all 3 armor boosts i only take 5 dmg of zealot's and AoE isn't even really needed.)
After 2 groups I decided to go to terrorwebs again cause the smites are simply a pain in the ass. But again, I died againt the terrors
The only positive thing is that i managed to survive a bit longer now, cause I moved out the showers (at least i tried) but with dolyak on moving isn't that fun. I was able to use some heal signet but then the showers came for second time and they killed me.... they are just very hard, even with a +10 sword and +10 fire shield....
BUT it's the most fun I had with my warrior lately

Against the smites, you just have to wait. A typical group should take about 2-2:30 minutes to clear at most. Anything more and something isn't right.
Basically it works like this:
1. Aggro, wait until the smites are surrounding you and use Dolyak Signet, Gladiator's Defense and Deadly Riposte. Make sure you have Armour of Earth on as well, and use Watch Yourself when it fills (you might as well). Attack for the full duration of Gladiator's Defense, using Deadly Riposte when it refills again. At some point during this, the smites will use Shield of Judgment, but you can keep attacking or find the smite with the highest health and switch to it (they use SoJ when their health is at a certain point). Do not use Desperation Blow either, odds are you'll trigger a Reversal and give them a condition that they're just Mend (and heal themselves for).
2. When Gladiator's Defense ends, stop attacking. Stand there, just keep spamming Healing Signet. There is no need to use Bonetti's Defense unless you need to refill your energy. Use Dolyak Signet as soon as it comes up, maintain Armour of Earth as well. Do not Deadly Riposte during this time, you're basically just healing 79 health for them.
3. When Gladiator's refills, repeat the same strategy as in the first step. If you attacking through Shield of Judgment, make sure to keep your health up and only use Deadly Riposte when you're attacking as well.
Against Coldfires, you will have to use Healing Signet (usually, just to be safe) when you have Rust on. Just make sure you aren't being hit by two Maelstroms (one is fine) and that you have Dolyak, Watch Yourself, and Armour of Earth in effect.
Hope that helps.

After Gladiator's Defense ends, Dolyak Signet goes up.
Watch Yourself! I use provided that all my adrenaline skills are filled, and I'm still in Gladiator's Defense.
Against anything else, just keep them up as often as possible.
